“For more than 40 years, Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) has been committed to providing year-round sports training and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Furthermore, Special Olympics focuses on providing programming that empowers athletes and fosters social change, starting with youth, through programs like Young Athletes and Meet in the Middle. These unique programs are changing the lives of school-age children in Texas, bringing together students with and without intellectual disabilities in the classroom to foster inclusion and acceptance.
